An Overview of the Club

- Beach leagues
- Skills Clinics
- Private Lessons
- Referee Training
Richmond Volleyball Club was founded in 1981 and was a non-profit organization created to meet the demand for volleyball in Central Virginia. RVC has two volleyball places, Byrdhill and Stonebridge, with 20 courts.
Adult Programs
Adult programs are available so that everyone can have fun while enjoying the benefits of physical activity. Richmond Volleyball Club offers programs for all ages and skills. These adult options include:
Starter League
This is an excellent option for those wanting to learn a new sport and how to play volleyball. This is also ideal for intermediate players looking to hone their skills and master the rules of the game.
Drop-In League
This league is best for those who want to play when it suits them without committing to joining a team. It’s more relaxed, letting you play in a social environment.
Masters League (50+ Men and 45+ Women)
This league is for the club’s lifetime players. They play two matches a night, one night a week. An RCV membership is required to participate in this league.
SNAP (Saturday Night All Play)
This is unstructured play, but players usually start games, run drills, or play King of the Court.
Junior Programs
But adults aren’t the only ones who can participate at RVC. Everyone is welcome, from little 3-year-olds just starting with the sport to high school seniors getting ready to go away to college. Here are some ways younger athletes can get involved:
Beach
These are competitive programs meant to push young athletes to new heights. The beach volleyball programs are about improving skills and, as kids get older, preparing them for recruitment and collegiate scholarship opportunities.
SNAP (Saturday Night All Play)
This session must be booked in advance and typically happens on the third Saturday of every month. There are plenty of options to register according to your age group. SNAP takes place between 6 pm and 9 pm at RVC Stonebridge.
